Medicaid is driving nation into bankruptcy

Over the last few weeks, there have been many letters concerning the attempt to change or repeal the Affordable Care Act. Most of these letters have one thing in common: the writers want someone else to pay for their health care.

As American citizens, we have no constitutional right to free health care. That is a simple fact.

But in our divided country, many Americans believe they have such a right. Obamacare has supported this desire to have others pay for their insurance. The rule is you can never get rid of a government program once the folks get used to the free ride.

In analyzing the Monthly Treasury Statement published by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, CNSNews.com determined that our government collected record amounts of both individual income taxes and payroll taxes during the first six months of fiscal year 2017. Yet it still ran a $526 billion deficit.

In Commiefornia, they are trying to pass a single-payer health program that also would cover illegals. This will cost more than the entire current state budget and will be financed by a pay roll tax with a rate of 15 percent of earned income. This is not a joke.

This year our national debt will surpass $20 trillion. Yet the lefties still want more and never, never cut a dime. It is my opinion that Medicaid and enhanced Medicaid will drive our country into bankruptcy.

More than $62 billion is spent on Medicaid in New York, with more than $34 billion coming from the federal government and more than $28 billion coming from the state. I had a respected editor tell me that many Medicaid recipients actually help finance their health care because they pay federal and state income taxes, property taxes and sales taxes, and that some of this money pays for Medicaid. Think about that for a while. This is how the lefties really think.

President Donald Trump and his administration are trying desperately to reduce the budget and stop the rise in the national debt. It is my opinion that they will not succeed because the takers and parasites are just too many.

Economic destruction and the collapse of our nation will follow, and a new Dark Ages will descend upon our great land and all free men. Fortunately, I will be dead by then. But my children and grandchildren will have to live in the horror we have left them. Thank you, Obama and the Democratic Party.
